Dr. Shanshan Zhang is a full professor at the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Nanjing University of Science and Technology. She received her Bachelor’s (in 2008) and Master’s (in 2011) degrees from Tongji University, and Doctoral degree from University of Bonn in 2015 under the supervision of Prof. Armin B. Cremers and Prof. Christian Bauckhage. She worked as a Postdoc with Prof. Bernt Schiele at Max Planck Institute for Informatics (2015-2016); she also visited National Institute of Informatics (Tokyo) in 2010, working with Prof. Shin’ichi Satoh. She has published more than 50 papers at top-tier journals and conferences, including TPAMI, IJCV, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV and NeurIPS. She serves as an Associate Editor for Pattern Recognition, and an Area Chair for CVPR 2024.

Her research interests include computer vision and pattern recognition, especially focusing on perceiving humans in visual data.

张姗姗，南京理工大学计算机学院（人工智能学院）教授、博士生导师，国家优青、江苏省杰青获得者。研究方向为计算机视觉，特别关注人体视觉数据分析与理解。曾于2015年2月在德国波恩大学获得计算机博士学位，博士论文获大德语区（德瑞奥三国）计算机学会最佳博士论文提名；博士毕业后曾在德国马普计算机研究所担任博士后研究员。2018年入选中国科协“青年人才托举工程”、微软“铸星学者”计划等；2021年获得中国图象图形学学会石青云女科学家奖。目前担任模式识别权威期刊Pattern Recognition编委、中国人工智能学会模式识别专委会副秘书长、江苏省“社会安全图像与视频理解”重点实验室副主任、VALSE常务领域主席。
